History and Purpose
Since 1981, the reporting center has been part of CIDI, serving as the primary platform for addressing antisemitism in the Netherlands. It was established to provide practical and consistent support to the Jewish community.
Evolving Focus
While our responsibilities also include a focus on Israel, we have kept these areas separate. However, the changing landscape and recent events have made it necessary to clarify our focus and strengthen our mission.

Wij zijn het landelijke meldpunt voor antisemitisme. We registreren en onderzoeken meldingen zorgvuldig en vertrouwelijk. Zo brengen we in beeld waar, hoevaak, en op welke manier Jodenhaat in Nederland voorkomt.
> Ondersteunen
We luisteren naar uw melding en denken mee over mogelijke vervolgstappen. We geven advies en praktische handvatten zodat we u zo goed mogelijk kunnen bijstaan.
> Onderzoek en rapportage
We publiceren onderzoeksrapporten over zowel online als offline antisemitisme in Nederland.
> Educatie en bewustwording
We ontwikkelen lesmateriaal voor scholen zodat antisemitisme sneller wordt herkend en bespreekbaar wordt gemaakt. Daarnaast informeren we het brede publiek via campagnes, evenementen, artikelen en onze sociale media.
>Adviseren
De meldingen die we ontvangen geven inzicht in ontwikkelingen en terugkerende patronen. Op basis daarvan adviseren we beleidsmakers, scholen, overheid en andere instanties over een gerichte aanpak van antisemitisme.
>Europese samenwerking
Wij werken nauw samen met Europese partners om kennis en expertise uit te wisselen. Daarnaast dragen we regelmatig bij aan Europese onderzoeken naar antisemitisme.
Reporting Antisemitism
Meld Antisemitisme is ontstaan vanuit de behoefte om de aanpak van antisemitisme een eigen, gespecialiseerde plek te geven. Als initiatief van CIDI bouwt Meld Antisemitisme voort op meer dan 40 jaar ervaring in het registreren van incidenten, het ondersteunen van slachtoffers en het adviseren van beleidsmakers over antisemitisme in Nederland. In de afgelopen jaren is er regelmatig verwarring ontstaan tussen CIDI’s pilaren Israel en antisemitisme. Dit leidde soms tot misverstanden en onterechte kritiek, waardoor de aanpak van antisemitisme minder zichtbaar werd. Met Meld Antisemitisme maken we die focus helder en bieden we een gespecialiseerd (Joods) meldpunt waar melders zich veilig, begrepen en gesteund voelen.
Why ‘Report Antisemitism’?
In recent years, confusion has arisen between our work on Israel and our efforts to combat antisemitism. Misunderstandings, particularly following the events of October 7, 2023, have led to unjustified criticism.
By adopting the name ReportAntisemitism, we clearly define our role and establish a singular, unwavering focus: fighting antisemitism.
1984
Establishment of the CIDI Meldpunt Antisemitisme.
Created as a central platform for the Jewish community to report antisemitic incidents.
1996
Expanded responsibilities: The center broadens its scope to include public advocacy and research on antisemitism trends.
2000-2010
Increased focus on education and awareness campaigns.
Collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organizations to combat antisemitism nationally.
2018
Rise in reported incidents highlights the need for a dedicated reporting system.
Calls for clearer communication about the center’s mission.
2023
Growing confusion between the reporting center’s work and CIDI’s Israel-related initiatives.
Public criticism and misunderstandings—especially following geopolitical events—underscore the need for a distinct identity.
Februari 2024
Decision to rename the center "ReportAntisemitism" and establish independent platforms for its work.
April 2025
Finalization of the decision to rename the center and create dedicated, independent platforms.
November 2026
Official launch of ReportAntisemitism.
Accompanied by a new website and dedicated social media channels to reinforce the mission of independently combating antisemitism.
