Since 1981, the reporting center has been part of CIDI, serving as the primary platform for addressing antisemitism in the Netherlands. It was established to provide practical and consistent support to the Jewish community.
Evolving Focus
While our responsibilities also include a focus on Israel, we have kept these areas separate. However, the changing landscape and recent events have made it necessary to clarify our focus and strengthen our mission.

Reporting Antisemitism
Meld Antisemitisme is ontstaan uit een duidelijke behoefte om de strijd tegen antisemitisme los te koppelen van andere thema’s binnen CIDI. In de afgelopen jaren is er steeds vaker verwarring ontstaan tussen ons werk rondom Israël en onze inzet tegen antisemitisme. Vooral na de gebeurtenissen van 7 oktober 2023 leidde dit tot misverstanden en onterechte kritiek.
CIDI, dat zich al meer dan 40 jaar inzet tegen antisemitisme in Nederland, heeft talloze meldingen geregistreerd, slachtoffers ondersteund en beleidsmakers voorzien van inzichten. Vanuit die kennis en ervaring is besloten om de aanpak van antisemitisme onder te brengen in een zelfstandige en herkenbare naam: Meld Antisemitisme - een meldpunt waar (Joodse) melders zich echt gehoord en begrepen voelen, in tegenstelling tot de afstand die soms wordt ervaren bij bredere meldstructuren of algemene instanties. Zo maken we onze rol duidelijk en leggen we de nadruk op één centrale missie: antisemitisme zichtbaar maken, bestrijden en terugdringen in Nederland
Why ‘Report Antisemitism’?
In recent years, confusion has arisen between our work on Israel and our efforts to combat antisemitism. Misunderstandings, particularly following the events of October 7, 2023, have led to unjustified criticism.
By adopting the name ReportAntisemitism, we clearly define our role and establish a singular, unwavering focus: fighting antisemitism.
1984
Establishment of the CIDI Meldpunt Antisemitisme.

Februari 2024
Decision to rename the center "ReportAntisemitism" and establish independent platforms for its work.
April 2024
Finalization of the decision to rename the center and create dedicated, independent platforms.
September 2025
Official launch of ReportAntisemitism.
Accompanied by a new website and dedicated social media channels to reinforce the mission of independently combating antisemitism.
